Embarking on a home improvement journey? Mastering the art of applying prepasted wallpaper is a game-changer. This comprehensive guide will take you through each step, ensuring a seamless wallpaper application process.
What is prepasted wallpaper?
Factory-applied adhesive is applied to the back of the wallpaper, which, when moistened with water, for example, using a spray bottle, becomes activated.
How to apply prepasted wallpaper?
Spray water in long strokes along the length of the wallpaper / cut wallpaper strip, ensuring thorough wetting of the entire back of the wallpaper, paying attention to the edges. Fold both ends of the moistened strip towards the center, stick the sides together, and carefully align the edges to prevent drying out. Avoid creasing the paper. Leave it folded for 3 minutes to activate the adhesive and moisten the paper.
Before wallpapering, we recommend priming the wall. Priming equalizes the wall’s moisture-absorbing properties and enhances the adhesive layer’s better adhesion.
